The actual criteria for opening the trigger on this opening drive trade. We want to see the drive and then the pause. And then you buy that fakeout to the downside of the flag or buy a break to the upper of the flag – you have a moving average catching up to it.
Entry Criteria
– Drive
– Pause
– Execute
Real momentum will offer you two or three opportunities to enter. Be careful of the third one. The first one is the brief pause. The second one is the pullback/consolidation. The third is a longer counter trend cycle. We don’t want to be caught out in something that is going to be a mean-reversion trade – i.e. if it looks like its not working cut it. If its genuine momentum – we’ll buying this opening drive trade riding momentum – we can even buy a breakout – the pullback or flag.
